The 6^th Model Asian Union (MAU) _ Sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Hosted by Asia Economic Community Forum(AECF) and Sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 6^th MAU invites undergraduate and graduate students. Applying a team of two, Model Asian Union is a competition based on a proposal paper and presentation about how to realize Asian Union. We have separated two leagues, one is English league and the other is Korean league and in each league, evaluation and award will be separately proceeded. Each league is composed of 16 teams, each team will go through a preliminary round and the 8 teams which will be selected by combined score of proposal and presentation will advance to the final. In each league, the 1^st team will be awarded the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prize, 2^nd will be awarded the Chair of the One Asia Economic Foundation prize, the 3^rd will be awarded the Chair of the Asia Economic Foundation prize. Creativity, and logic are the criteria for evaluation and it will be a good opportunity to think about the future of unfounded Asian Union as a future Asian leader. Also, in this year, if you participate the MAU, you will have a chance to have a Young Scholars Initiative(YSI) workshop organized by INET(Institution for New Economic Thinking) which is an eminent nonprofit- think tank.

■ how to apply
Any undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in establishing Asia Union are welcome to participate the 6^th MAU. Making a team of two and choosing the league between English league and Korean league. Proposals should be submitted within deadline and competing with other teams with presentation which should based on proposals in a preliminary round and in final. Moreover, proposals and presentations should fulfill the criteria of specific theme.

Suggest a way to realize the Asian Union in three ways, economically, culturally and in other ways, and then suggest a model of the Asian Union.

■ Application period: 2014 July 10^th ~ 2014 August 11^th

■ Proposal paper: 2014 August 11^th ~ 2014 August 24^th

* If you don’t deposit your participation fee within 48hours then your registration will be canceled.
* Refunding \30,000 in a situation when a proposal is failed that you cannot participate in a preliminary.
* Providing free meals and accommodation during the Final competition and a certificate after the 6^th MAU is finished.
